HAZLETON -- People in one part of Hazleton say they will do whatever they can to stop criminals from targeting their neighborhood grocery store.

The store was robbed last month, and again this past weekend.

Customers say C & P Store on East Chestnut Street in Hazleton makes their lives a little easier.

"I know them well. They are nice people. What they have here, I need," said Ray Zapotocky of Hazleton.

But recently the grocery store has been attracting criminals, too.

Police said a masked man held up the store in August, then Saturday night it happened again. Police are still searching for the robber.

According to officers, when the store was hit last month the robber was wearing a Spiderman mask. People who live here say they could use a superhero who wants to fight crime.

"Nobody likes something like that. Everybody likes to live in peace, live safe, and be okay," said Martina Aracena of Hazleton.

While the neighborhood has seen a lot of changes, people we met say that's no reason neighbors can't work together to fight back.

"Keep watching the neighbors, so that nothing happens to the stores," said Hector Mota of Hazleton.

"You see it turn it in,turn it in right away, and let law enforcement do their job, because they are good at it," said Zapotocky.

Zapotocky said despite concerns about crime, there are still a lot of good people in Hazleton.

"We have to stick together. We have to really pull together like a strong community, like we did years ago, help one another," Zapotocky said.

And that's something no masked man can steal.
