The Pennsylvania Environmental Council and the Northeastern Pennsylvania Environmental Partners honor members and groups in the community for their dedication to the environment. NATURAL GAS BECOMES USEFUL IN SUSQUEHANNA COUNTY – Jackie Lewandoski
Cabot Oil and Gas Corporation is working with local entities to make the natural gas being tapped in Susquehanna County available to those who live and work there. Some pioneer groups taking advantage of the local commodity include: Endless Mountains Health Systems, Montrose High School, and the new construction project, TrehabClick here for the video.

PEC COLLECTS SHOES FOR THE ENVIRONMENT
The Pennsylvania Environmental Council has just launched a collection drive of slightly used shoes. Money from the drive will be used to support PEC projects like cleanups and education. The shoes will be sent to a third world country where they will be used by a local business to be refurbished and sold.  Click here for the video.

  • Everhart Museum, 1901 Mulberry St., Scranton – a donation gets you $1.00 off general admission
