Monday afternoon George Curry started the on-field preparations for his Dawgs as they get set to tackle Wyoming Valley West and big #85 LJ Wesneski.

"They got size. They got speed, and the quarterback is outstanding. They have a lot of speed at wide receiver and the big tight-end. Oh! My god. That LJ that big tight-end #85 he is a big timer if I ever saw one," said George Curry.

And George has seen many for Berwick. They roll into Spartan stadium with some momentum a 26-23 overtime win over Dallas. Andrew Force the main target last Friday in the victory.

"It was a tough win. We fought hard and there is more to come and two more weeks coming with this so we definitely got to keep preparing as we have and work hard. As long as we lock down these two more wins we're on a great track," said Andrew Force.

When you look at this series between the Dawgs and Spartans certainly there are some names at quarterback that have played for Berwick it's been CJ Curry. For Valley West how about Eugene Lewis and Mike Baur. They've been guiding the ship. We'll now two guys are getting their first varsity experience Brady Davison here at Valley West and down at Berwick it's Dallas Arner.

"Pretty sure if I speak for the whole team on this one we've been waiting for this game for a while. We've had this circled on the calendar for a while now so we put a lot of emphasis on this week and we come out here put in the extra hours and making sure that we're ready for Friday," said Brady Davison.

"It's what you wait for all-season. It's the biggest game of the year-especially if you're a senior it's your last time playing against them you always want to get that win against them," said Dalton Perla.

"They can beat you in a couple different ways in all phases of the game. They can beat you over the top-they have a couple great receivers down there. Defensively there still typical Berwick fast. They do a lot of stuff. They get to the football. You have to play a great game in all phases of the game to beat Berwick," said Pat Keating.

Newswatch 16 sports will be live on Friday night at 6pm at Spartan Stadium in Kingston.
