SCRANTON -- A restaurant in Scranton observed the anniversary of 9/11 by giving back to emergency personnel.

Any first responder, police officer, or firefighter that stopped by J.J. McNally's on Linden Street was given a free breakfast sandwich.

"We wanted to show our appreciation on this 9-11 day to show the police, firefighters and our military that we're thinking about them. We remember the day and thank you for keeping us safe and all you do for us," said owner Jim McNally.

The owner said the restaurant gave out about 50 sandwiches before 11 a.m. They also made deliveries to police stations and fire departments.
