GREENE TOWNSHIP — Traffic on part of Interstate 80 in Clinton County is backed up after a big rig wrecked early Wednesday morning.
It happened around 5:30 a.m. in the eastbound lanes of I-80 near the Jersey Shore Exit.
Interstate 80 was shut down in that area briefly, but one lane has opened. Police have not released any information on the condition of the driver or what caused the wreck.
Responders said traffic may be moving slowly on I-80 east for the next few hours as crews clean up the crash.
