NESQUEHONING -- A brutal murder along the west coast of Florida leaves four people dead and the man suspected of the killings has ties to our area.

And the home where it all allegedly happened is owned by a couple from Carbon County.

The four people brutally murdered in Florida were found dead Thursday afternoon.

A 4-year-old boy taken from the home was later found with the suspect.

Sheriffs found the four people dead in Hudson, Florida near the home where they were staying.

That family had just moved into that home a few months ago, a home owned by a couple living in Nesquehoning.

Adam Matos of the Lehigh Valley was taken into custody by sheriff's deputies in Florida, accused of brutally murdering four people and taking a 4-year-old boy, believed to be his son.

"I don't have anything to say right now."

"Why did you take Tristen? Is this all a big misunderstanding?"

"I don't have anything to say right now."

A family that lives in Nesquehoning says it all happened inside their home in Hudson, Florida, a home they were renting to a family friend believed to be one of the victims.

"To think that someone could go into a home and murder four people where you lived and you raised your children, it's just, it's unimaginable," said Tara Cellini.

Tara Cellini and her husband Ben own the home in Florida and moved back to Carbon County in 2009.

Ben Cellini says he met his tenants through work and is still trying to comprehend just what happened.

"Just a lot of questions, everybody has questions, trying to find out, and they weren't really there that long so nobody really knew them in Florida," he said. "They were there two, three months."

The Cellinis say they rented the Florida home to Gregory and Maggie Brown and their daughter, who were originally from the Allentown area. They say the Browns were loving people, who gave their daughters two labradoodle dogs.

The Cellinis believe they moved down to Florida to get away from Matos, their daughter's former boyfriend.

"They were trying to get away from him, and he was harassing them for a while and they did call the sheriff's office numerous times stating that he was threatening them."

It's unclear how or why Matos allegedly murdered the family, and then dumped their bodies nearby.

Our ABC affiliate in Florida reported that he took off with a 4-year-old boy who Matos claims is his son.

An Amber alert went out, and authorities caught up with the suspect at a Florida hotel.

"I love my son and I hope that he's safe right now," Matos said.

"Why did you take him?"

"He's my son," Matos replied.

For now, the Cellinis say they've been cooperating with authorities in this investigation but may never return to their home in Florida again.

Matos lived in the Lehigh Valley before relocating to Florida and has a record.

Most recently he was in district court in 2010 for harassment charges.

He's locked up in Florida on aggravated assault charges but is expected to be sent to a different county in Florida to face more charges Saturday.
