WILKES-BARRE — Gunfire hit a home in Wilkes-Barre Tuesday morning, and police are looking for who pulled the trigger.

Investigators were called out to the city just after midnight, where they said a bullet shattered a window in the back of a home on Coal Street.

According to officials, no one inside the home was hurt.

Authorities said they found nine bullet casings in the area during their investigation.

Wilkes-Barre police have not made any arrests and did not say what led to the gunfire.

The problem is that we’ve herded poor people (especially minorities) into either projects or older housing. Kids grow up without fathers and any values of right and wrong. It’s going to get worse as time goes on. Sadly, I think that when I am ready to retire I will want to avoid the whole Scranton/Wilkes-Barre/Hazleton area. The northern Poconos are still safe, but the eastern Poconos (around Stroudsburg) are pretty nasty. Until jobs become plentiful nothing here will change and it will only get worse.

It’s just another day in WB — Why the hell would anyone but the drug dealers, pedophiles, druggies, and lowest of lowest life forms want to live there with all that crap ? Napalm the place already and start all over !

Would in this case putting a fence around Sherman Hills be to protect the residence of Sherman Hills from the rest of the city?

By the time the 6th or 7th shot rang out, the way these cops drive like animals, you would think ONE of Wilkes barres finest would have gotten there. Guess he dropped his donut on the floor and stepped on that instead of the gas pedal.

For inviting section 8 and all these low life idiots to our neighborhoods ,…ALL of you politicians need to be slapped right across your faces.
Gutless cowards have ruined our lives bringing this element here. How much money did NY and NJ give Pa to get rid of these dirtbag heroin junkies!?!?!?

I agree, the politicians have completely went against the will of the people to enrich themselves in bringing in the section 8 crowd. The Leighton family is living high off the pain and misery of the WB people!
