PITTSTON — The Pittston YMCA day care has appealed the state Department of Welfare’s decision to revoke its license.

It means the day care can continue operating while the appeals process goes forward.

The appeal process could take several months.

The state pulled the license because of violations including improper supervision.

In July, a 6-year-old child was left alone in a van unattended.
