GILBERT --- A small plane crashed into a field in Monroe County Thursday evening..
Officials told Newswatch 16 the pilot managed to walk away.
Officials say the single engine plane was traveling from Beltzville Airport and was heading to Pegasus Airport in Brodheadsville when the aircraft lost power.
The pilot was able to get the plane down into a soybean field near Brodheadsville, but it flipped over when it hit the ground.
Witnesses say they could tell the pilot was having some trouble.
The pilot crawled out and was not hurt.
The FAA is expected to be back on the scene and investigate on Friday.
