SOUTH WILLIAMSPORT -- Even after Philadelphia's loss on Thursday, the Little League World Series continues to heat up in South Williamsport.

ESPN says the last few games featuring Philadelphia pitcher Mo'ne Davis were among the highest-rated Little League World Series telecast in network history.

Despite their last two losses to Las Vegas and Chicago, The Taney Dragons enjoyed being watched by tens of thousands of fans.

Huge crowds lined up at the ballpark Thursday afternoon.  Newswatch 16 found a mix of Philadelphia and Chicago fans waiting in line for free tickets to tonight's game.

Most people said they got here bright and early to secure their places in line.

"We woke up early, extra early and stood out in the rain and now we're standing in this extra long line so hopefully it will be a good game. Somebody's gotta lose so that's the bad part," said Lawrence Noble of Chicago.

"We're from Pennsylvania, we're rooting for Pennsylvania. My niece plays baseball. She's a diehard at it so we're here rooting for Taney," said Monica Embick of Renovo.

Many people who waited in line did not know a Major League Baseball player was also at the Little League World Series at the same time.
