Flash Flooding Hits Susquehanna County

MONTROSE — Powerful storms moved through Susquehanna County Thursday night, dumping buckets of rain on the area.

County officials said it was a dangerous and difficult situation. Trees and power lines were down, and water covered the roads. Road throughout the area were closed because of damage.

Crews from several counties and New York State were brought in to help with water rescues.

Susquehanna County 911 was unable to take incoming calls for a time due to the strong storms.

Emergency crews will be on scene until everything is safe in Susquehanna County.
