FREELAND-- A senior citizen center was evacuated in Luzerne County.
23 residents of the Freeland Senior Apartments were told to leave Sunday evening.
The Freeland fire chief told Newswatch 16 a resident of the building noticed a crack in a wall.
When fire crews came to investigate, they found a much bigger problem.
The 23 residents have been told they are not allowed back into the building for the night.
Some are staying with family, but others needed temporary housing.
A structural engineer will visit the complex in the morning to determine what needs to be done to make the building safe.
