Nathan Denison House “Summer Season”
Nathan Denison House “Summer Season” house tours will last through September. The historic house tours are held every Sunday: August 31 through September 28, 1 p.m. – 4 p.m. The event brings to life the history of Nathan Denison, a Wyoming Valley settler of the 1700s. There’s a costumed guide to show and explain the interior and furnishings of the property know as the Nathan Denison House.
St. John’s Men in Mission “Raffle Fundraiser”
In Nanticoke St. John’s Lutheran Church, Men in Mission Group, sponsors a “Raffle Fundraiser”. The raffle winner has his or her choice of $7000 in cash or a Polaris side by side all terrain vehicle with a towing capacity of over 1200 lbs. You do not have to be present to win. Only 1000 tickets will be sold. The event offers food, refreshments along with the big raffle at the church on State Street in Nanticoke, Saturday, August 30, 2 p.m. – 4 p.m.
