Ice bucket challenges have been popping up all over social media this summer in support of ALS, including this one by our very own Jon Meyer and Julie Sidoni.
But this video may be one of the most inspirational, because a man that has ALS joined his daughter in the challenge.
According to FOX43.com, Kreg Palko has been fighting Lou Gehrig’s disease for more than two years according to his daughter’s Facebook page. He used to be an active man, hiking, skiing, surfing, but ALS has taken that from him.
The ALS foundation told FOX25 in Boston, they’ve raised $1.35 million nationally from July 29 to August 11.
A spokesperson for the association said they raised $22,000 during the same period in 2013.
That’s all because of the awareness that has come with the ice bucket challenge.
