STATE COLLEGE -- The Penn State board of trustees took action Wednesday to try to settle a lawsuit with the NCAA.
The lawsuit is over the $60 million fine the NCAA imposed on Penn State after the Jerry Sandusky sex abuse scandal.
The NCAA and state officials have been in talks to settle the lawsuit.
The board of trustees voted to support a settlement that would keep the $60 million in Pennsylvania for child sex abuse programs here.
The NCAA originally wanted that money to go nationwide.
