New Bridge Replaces Flood-Damaged Span

MONTOURSVILLE — A new railroad bridge in Lycoming County was unveiled on Wednesday.

The bridge over Loyalsock Creek in Montoursville was destroyed during the flood of 2011.

The new one was built higher than the old one to withstand flood waters.

Almost all of the materials used to build the new railroad bridge in Lycoming County are from Pennsylvania.
