Man Battles Flames in His Home Until Firefighters Arrive

HARFORD — Fire damaged a home in Susquehanna County Monday night.

The Harford Volunteer Fire Company Chief believes the fire started in the basement of the home along Route 547 just after 9 p.m. Crews were able to contain the fire to one room in the basement. The rest of the home has smoke and water damage.

One person was home at the time and attempted to put out the flames but couldn’t. No one was injured.

The cause of the fire is under investigation.
