WILKES-BARRE — A man suspected of being involved in a stabbing at Sherman Hills in Wilkes-Barre was found by police Saturday night.
Police say they picked up Jose Hernandez shortly after 9 p.m. in the area of Kidder and Scott Streets. He was then taken to a hospital for treatment.
Officers wanted to question Hernandez in connection with a fight Friday evening at Sherman Hills.
Authorities said Hernandez and another man were both hurt by a machete-type knife and were taken to local hospitals for treatment.
According to authorities, one man suffered a wound to the neck and was in critical condition.
Hernandez, however, left the hospital wearing a gown and with a cast on his arm before police could talk to him.
So far, Wilkes-Barre police police have not filed any charges in connection with the assault.
