MAHANOY TOWNSHIP -- A man working along a road in Schuylkill County was killed when he was hit by a vehicle.
Authorities said it happened around 1:30 p.m. along Morea Road in Mahanoy Township, near Mahanoy City.
Crews at the scene said the victim was working as a flagger in a work area.
Troopers identified the victim as William Hoffman, 66, of Pottsville.
The driver of van that hit Hoffman was not injured.
