WILKES-BARRE -- The trial of a former teacher accused of sex with a student got underway Tuesday in Luzerne County.
Prosecutors say Edward Evans sexually assaulted a male student in March of 2013 at his home in Hanover Township.
The alleged victim took the stand Tuesday in court.
Evans was suspended from his job as a social studies teacher at Hanover Area High School.
