CARBONDALE — Crews are working to fix a water main break in Carbondale.

The 12-inch water main broke just before 3:00a.m. on Monday in Lackawanna County.

Officials with PA American Water said they had to shut off the water while they work to fix the problem on Clidco Drive.

According to authorities, a handful of businesses in a nearby industrial park do not have running water.

An employee at Creekside Health and Rehab, a personal care home on North Scott Street, said they got their water back on just before 8:00a.m.

Officials said the water main break is expected to be repaired some time Monday afternoon in Lackawanna County.
