SCRANTON -- It was quite a sight at a gas station in Scranton: a giant peanut gassing up on Davis Street.

The Planters Peanuts Nutmobile stopped to refuel before heading out to Pittsburgh for promotional events.

"It's a pretty fun vehicle to drive; we get a lot of honks and waves. A few weeks ago, we were in Baltimore and there was a woman who actually dropped her cellphone out of her vehicle taking a picture of us. I do not advise that; please keep both hands on the steering wheel," laughed driver Mason Kerwick.

The Nutmobile was traveling from Boston.

It is staffed by recent college grads who drive the peanut all over the east coast.
