Day two of Go Joe 17, “Big City Blitz” got off to a late start as Joe took some extra time to map out his route.

Joe covered more than 90 miles. For most of it he was riding on the small shoulder off Route 30 East.

The day was an uphill battle, pedaling up hillsides and back down, coasting past farmlands.

About 30 miles into the trip, Joe stopped in Pleasantville to get a closer look at this historic cemetery and check directions.

In the afternoon the sun's rays really beat down on Joe. He has the tan lines to prove it.
"It is hot and you know this I fear the sun. I'm putting sunscreen on all the time, but somehow. Look at this. What is that?"

Just about 30 miles outside Chambersburg,Joe took one last break in Harrisonville before trekking uphill again.
“A lot of hills. I'm done, but hey, no drama for your mama. I'm going to stay positive. Thanks for your support."

Joe's next stop is Harrisburg before heading to Philadelphia and then Scranton for the Saint Joseph's Festival at Marywood University.
