The first day of Go Joe XVII saw Newswatch 16 morning meteorologist Joe Snedeker pedaling from Pittsburgh to Johnstown.

Newswatch 16's Kristina Papa tagged along and recapped the first day of biking with Joe.

This is the 17th year that Joe is riding to raise money for St. Joseph's Center in Scranton.

Well i do. You can see me riding through the valley every goddamn day of the week. I did 70 miles today. If i could take a week off of work to ride for charity, id do 1000 miles. Sure its great he’s raising money, Im just saying im not impressed, thats all.

If your obese then I’m sorry to say I doubt it very much if you’d be able to cycle 100 miles in several days.
Joe Snedeker is doing a Wonderful thing for St. Joseph’s. Also, he did have an injury not too long ago. Go Joe! God Bless you.
