SCRANTON -- There was another big turnout for a motorcycle ride in Scranton.

The parking lot at the Gino J. Merli Veterans Center on Mulberry Street was packed Sunday morning.

For 15 years now, riders have come together to honor the men and women who served this country in Scranton.

The local chapter of Rolling Thunder organized the "Salute to Veterans Ride", a ride that's grown each year.

All the money that's raised ends up helping the vets at the center have a little something at Christmas time.

"Every Christmas morning we come down and they might get a blanket it might be a sweater, or a sweatsuit," said Augie Barhight, Rolling Thunder.

As many as 1,000 bikers joined in the ride that ended back at the Gino J. Merli Veterans Center in Scranton.
