WILMOT TOWNSHIP — A 16 year old is dead after an overnight crash in Bradford County.

Troopers said the boy was a passenger in a pickup truck on Morris Road near Wyalusing when the 17-year-old driver lost control and the truck flipped over.

The wreck happened round 12:30 a.m. Sunday.

According to officials, the teen died at the scene. The driver and another passenger, Cheyenne Learn, 18, of Laceyville were flown to a hospital.

State police believe speed and alcohol played a part in the wreck in Wilmot Township.

The victim’s name has not been released.

Instead of all this finger pointing, shouldn’t this be focused on someone has lost a loved one? Some parents will never see their child again. This young adult will never have children and see them grow up. This was someones son, brother, sister, daughter, granddaughter, grandson, etc. Death among young adults happens all the time regardless of where they live. My thoughts and prayers are with the families of these individuals.

    • REALLY??

He wasn’t a young adult, he was 16!! And had been drinking and driving after the allowed time on a Jr. License!

      • Really!!!!!

He had not been drinking the only one that was drinking was the driver. Get your facts straight. If you don’t know then don’t run your mouth!!!

Maybe you should get all your facts straight before you start running your mouth. The girl in the hospital happens to be my niece and she IS NOT pregnant. So I suggest you shut your mouth and she is far from white trash!!!!

    • interesting......

That’s awfully funny because it’s on her own facebook. All I had to do was type in her name and read the comments on her facebook…..maybe she was too busy drinking and hanging out with minors to tell her family she was expecting? Whether you like it or not, your precious family member was involved as an adult in an accident where minors were drinking. Pregnant or not.

    • Really!!!!!

Hey interesting!!!!! Not sure whose page you are looking at but obviously it’s not the right one. She is NOT PREGNANT!!!!!! So quit running your mouth. Yeah she might have been involved but Atleast she WASNT drinking!!!!!!

Good Grief People…………..Have a little compassion! Someone lost their child in this tragedy……No matter the circumstances around the accident, there is loss and grieving going on. Please have respect for the families involved. It’s easy to jump to conclusions when you are not part of the scene, just please think before you speak. It’s hard enough to live with a mistake and or poor decision, but to lose anyone so suddenly just simply knocks the wind out of you!!

Agreed, this is yet another heart-breaking tragedy that could’ve been avoided should fools followed rules instead of being fools! My heart breaks for these families. However, nothing will change unless we stay MADD!

Some good points, except for the end. Typical Bradford County Wyoming County trash? This doesn’t happen everyday. This doesn’t happen often at all in that area. So no, I disagree that this is a typical situation from typical people. Just a few dumb punks who made some stupid decisions and paid dearly. Could happen anywhere. Additionally… do you really want to compare Bradford and Wyoming counties with the rest of the WNEP area in terms of trashiness? I didn’t think so.

Hey MWM my cousin was in that accident. she was flown to the hospital.. Better watch what you say cause shes not a drunk.

    • MWM

Better watch what I say or what? Don’t make threats.
They were ALL under the legal age drinking alcohol and clearly the driver was drunk, and this tragedy could’ve been avoided!
      I SAID,
“Kim, Thank you for clearing that up Kim! I guess the reporter went with the first round of info before waiting on confirmation of the facts. That might be what she’s instructed to do along with other writers given the fact this happens frequently enough! Which is not fair to the writers should their Editor in Chief put that kind of pressure on them to put in that position! Was anyone even drunk I wonder?, (because the initial report were wrong here), Why was a minor out so late with drunks?”
I then was questioning IF alcohol was actually involved! AND apparently it was!

      • interesting......

I totaly agree with you MVM, but don’t expect most to agree with you. Especially the 18 year old’s family who will come here to attack you rather than to face the truth that she was the adult in this situation and there was alcohol involved, PLUS the driver was under 18 and didn’t have an adult license and should not have even been out at that time of night. Where were the parents?? But yet you will hear all kinds of stuff bashing you telling you that a tragic situation has happened and you are attacking the 18 year old and you cant change anything blah blah blah! People need to wake up and see the situation for what it is. Tragic or not, it could have been avoided and NO it shouldn’t be swept under the table.

My sincere condolances to the family and friends of all those children. Yes, children whose lives are over unfortunately due to alcohol.
I just wish our society as a whole would realize that alcohol is one of The Top reasons that so many have and will continue to lose friends and loved ones because if it.

Ah, so THAT explains why the 5th-grade-at-best level of Journalism is tolerated in this case. I guess if you have a relative on-staff, life at work is just one big do-over. Must be nice – who cares if it dumbs down the whole organization, right? I have some experience in the real field – this writer shouldn’t even think about that unless they want to get ripped to shreds after turning in their first ‘story’.

  • Kim

It was a boy not a girl. If u google it everyone else informations is correct idk why these ppl got there info wrong

    • MWM

Thank you for clearing that up Kim! Next time maybe I should google first! I guess the reporter went with the first round of info before waiting on confirmation of the facts. That might be what she’s instructed to do along with other writers given the fact this happens frequently enough! Which is not fair to the writers should their Editor in Chief put that kind of pressure on them to put in that position! Was anyone even drunk I wonder? Why was a minor out so late with drunks? Guess I will google!
