A staff member for Congressman Tom Marino pleaded not guilty Saturday to a felony charge for carrying a pistol without a license.
Ryan Shucard is the press secretary for Congressman Marino.
Shucard was released from police custody Saturday afternoon. He was arrested Friday for allegedly trying to bring a handgun and ammunition into the Cannon House Building of the U.S. Capitol.
The weapon was found during a required security search.
Shucard is on unpaid leave from his position with the congressman.
