Update: Marino Press Secretary Pleads Not Guilty

A staff member for Congressman Tom Marino pleaded not guilty Saturday to a felony charge for carrying a pistol without a license.

Ryan Shucard is the press secretary for Congressman Marino.

Shucard was released from police custody Saturday afternoon. He was arrested Friday for allegedly trying to bring a handgun and ammunition into the Cannon House Building of the U.S. Capitol.

The weapon was found during a required security search.

Shucard is on unpaid leave from his position with the congressman.

    Nothing wrong with what he did its just how he did it. Working for a congressman you should know the rules however we give you a break as most congressman don’t know the rules they made

    Why wouldn’t he have procured a license unless for some reason he couldn’t? That would be disturbing since he worked for a congressman!
