Man Shot Outside Bar

WEST HAZLETON — A shooting outside a bar sent a man to the hospital.

According to officials, witnesses told police that people were shooting at each other outside Ivanna’s bar on Green Street in West Hazleton around 2 a.m. Saturday.

Deivon Barlow was found shot and was flown to the hospital.

People in the area said the neighborhood is not what it used to be.

“Obviously, you have to be careful around here anymore. There are too many people doing drugs, selling drugs, using weapons and they have no respect for human life anymore,” said Michael Tate of West Hazleton.

There is no word on Barlow’s condition or if officers have any suspects in the shooting in Luzerne County.

Deborah I do not work for “them” I work for business owners who by the way appreciate and want good patrons. I also have a full time job in a professional setting and all day today we discussed (laughed ) about the beercation theory………..Thank you.

How quick did it take for west hazleton police to respond ?? They are about 6-7 blocks away????
They didn’t WANT to respond. Black man or mexican with a gun! I would have let em shoot it out too. No need to put the cops life in danger. Just wait til the shoot out ends. Lol lol.

And now here we go… JUSTICE FOR *INSERT CRIMINALS NAME HERE*!!!!!!! They will take to the streets, put up tacky shrines, and surely sue someone. Social media will be flooded with accolades on what a great husband/father/son/brother/cousin/ditch digger/gang banger/ACCESS CARD recipient he REALLY was. Wait for it……..wait for it……..

U have to ask what has changed in the last 20 years, the houses are the same, the street names are the same,so why 20 years ago was these same houses, buildings and streets a much safer place.

What has changed in the last 20 years…….the rich have been getting richer and the poor are getting poorer. This is the after party. Where have you been. The rich go on vacation and the poor go to the local pub…….for a beercation……after which they start to realize things aint gonna get better so they start fights w their barmates because to them life sucks.

It has nothing to do with being rich or poor or vacation’s. These things that have crawled into our city and have nested in our neighborhoods are lawless scum. They don’t want to work and save to take themselves on vacation. If it’s not handed to them in the form of public assistance they think they they can’t have it. So to suggest that it is because they can’t afford to go on vacation that the next best thing is a beercation and their life isn’t going to get any better because of that is freaken bullshit. YOU ARE PERSONALLY RESPONSIBLE FOR YOUR OWN LIFE’S WORTH!!! I took my family on vacation I saved all year to do this. i’m not rich, my bills are paid, and I WORK 6 out of 7 days a week. One of the places I work is a bar….so I know first hand about these poor unfortunate people who can’t afford vacation..

When walking in Hazleton always crouch low and move in a zig-zag pattern. And never make eye contact with anyone!
