BLOOMING GROVE TOWNSHIP– A would-be robber was charged after a botched hold up in Pike County.
Authorities said Wayne Pitner of Dingman Township used a gun to hold up Lords Valley Xtra Mart near Greeley after 11 p.m. Wednesday.
He demanded money from the cash register, but fled the scene on foot empty handed.
The clerk called the police and told them he knew the robber.
Pitner was charged with robbery and making threats.
