WILKES-BARRE — Two people are expected to face charges after police said they led them on a pursuit in Wilkes-Barre.
According to police, Denise Ziagos and Michael Haines were being pulled over near the intersection of West Market and South Franklin Streets around 8 p.m. Monday. When the officers got out of their car, Ziagos and Haines took off.
Police were able to stop the pair near the Interstate 81 North on-ramp at Highland Park Boulevard.
Investigators said a Wilkes-Barre police car was damaged, but no one was hurt.
Officials said Ziagos was immediately taken to the Luzerne County Jail because there was a warrant out for her arrest.
Haines was being held at Kingston Police Department for questioning.
