WILKES-BARRE -- Two people are locked up after a robbery in Luzerne County.
Wilkes-Barre Police said a man robbed the Turkey Hill on Hazle Street early Saturday morning.
According to police, Robert Monaco of Glen Lyon walked into the store wearing a hooded sweatshirt with the hood up around 4:30 a.m. and pointed to his pocket. When the clerk asked if he was robbing the store, Monaco allegedly said, "No, I want a sandwich. What do you think?"
The clerk opened the register and handed him the money. Monaco left the store and was seen getting into a pickup truck.
An officer located the truck a short time later.
Joanne Marx of Wilkes-Barre was charged with driving the getaway vehicle.
