My condolences to the family and rest in peace to the decedents, but why are 17 yr olds out on the highway at 4 am??? I know that there will be several dislikes by those claiming that the families will be reading this. Really??? Gimme a break. Those mourning will not be running to WNEP to see what posters will be saying about this loss. This does beg the fair question as to why they are on the roads and not home dreaming of a fulfilled future instead of running the high risk of a bad outcome.

I was thinking the same thing, why were 17 yr olds out driving at 4 AM? So sad and tragic!
However, there is the possibility they were enroute from or to working somewhere? “Nighttime driving restriction begins at 11 p.m.: The young driver may not be behind the wheel between the hours of 11 p.m. and 5 a.m. Young drivers may travel for employment and for volunteer
or charitable service during these hours, but they must carry proper documentation.”
