STROUDSBURG -- The owner of a day care in Monroe County will spend some time behind bars after a child died there.
Deborah Thompson was sentenced Wednesday morning to nine to 23 months in prison a few months after pleading guilty to child endangerment.
Authorities shut down the facility in Stroud Township, near Stroudsburg in 2012 after finding violations during the investigation into the death of a 3-month-old boy.
The Monroe County coroner ruled the infant's death a case of sudden unexplained death.
