CARBON COUNTY — The beach at Beltzville State Park in Carbon County reopened for swimming on the Fourth of July.

Officials said tests showed that bacteria levels in the water had returned to safe levels.

The beach closed Wednesday, one of the hottest days of the summer so far.

Farm run off, geese! Why is everyone so afraid to address the Real problem that closes Beltzville every year. We have farms and geese all year . Lake only seems to close after weekends when hoards of outsiders come in and treat our lake like a sewer. They don’t even know how to use the toilets. Charging admission would help, but the rangers need yo start enforcing the existing laws and throwing violators out, no matter what their nationality.

Remember the movie “JAWS?” They told the people that the beach was safe and not to worry about sharks.

How convenient, I’ll bet it closes again right after the holiday. You would have to be crazy to go swimming in that cesspool!
