PRINGLE -- A woman claims she was defending herself when she stabbed her boyfriend in Luzerne County.
Heather Muchler, 29, of Shickshinny was arraigned Tuesday morning in Swoyersville on assault charges.
Kingston police say she stabbed her boyfriend while driving in a car around 11:30 p.m. Monday at the corner of Hoyt and North Streets in Pringle.
Muchler says a heated argument escalated and she stabbed the man in self-defense.
The victim was rushed to the hospital. He underwent emergency surgery.
Muchler is locked up with bail set at $50,000.
