UPDATE: 3 P.M. -- PennDOT says the truck has been cleared from the construction area and traffic should return to normal.
SCRANTON -- Traffic on part of Interstate 81 in Lackawanna County is slowed by a stuck truck.
According to PennDOT, the right lane of Interstate 81 north is closed between the Dunmore/Throop exit (188) and the Main Avenue exit (190) because of a wide truck attempting to go through a work zone.
The oversize truck is currently stuck in the work zone, and emergency responders are working to get it removed.
Workers hope to have the truck cleared by 3 p.m.
PennDOT suggests taking an alternate routes such as I-476 (Turnpike/toll) between Pittston and Clarks Summit.
