Water Main Break in Scranton

SCRANTON-- Some people will be waking up to dry taps in Lackawanna County this morning.

Water was gushing out of the ground at the intersection of South Ninth Avenue and Eynon Street around 5 a.m. in Scranton.

Officials say about 15 homes in the residential area are affected.

Pennsylvania American Water has a crew on the scene.

There is currently no estimated time for when the break will be repaired.
