LEBANON COUNTY — A former pastor from Monroe County, sentenced to life in prison for the death of his second wife, faces more jail time for the death of his first wife.
Arthur Schirmer pleaded no contest to third degree murder in Lebanon County for the death of his first wife Jewel Schirmier in1999.
The no contest plea means Schirmer does not admit guilt, but can be sentenced as if he did.
In 2013, Schirmer was convicted of killing his second wife Betty in Monroe County, and sentenced to life in prison.
