Paul Beaudoin is a 17-year-old bowler from Lakeland high-school and a pretty good one at that. His home alley is Idle Hour Lanes in Dickson City. Beaudoin bedazzled his opponents this season winning the under 17 district level tournament in March averaging a 241 and taking top honors. That was just the beginning at states in May in Reading again Paul pounded the pocket for a 744 series a 247 average and top honors.

"Just found a good line to throw both competitions. It felt good and sort of worked from there," said Paul Beaudoin.

"Paul has always been able to do the work. He practices very hard and suggestions we make he is more than happy to try them and do them. The young man deserves a lot of credit. He's put a lot of effort into it," said Ron Salvatore.

And the effort landed him a spot in next month's U20 junior gold bowling championships in Buffalo New York.

"Competition-first time doing it just heard it's real exciting different kind of experience," again said Paul.

Here's some numbers for you during Paul's junior year of high-school bowling an average of 222, a high series of 785 and twice during the year he rolled a 289 still looking for that 300 although Paul tells me he had rolled a 300 twice during practice.

"I've been close but I think it's coming. You get a little excited, a little nervous. You just got to get a deep breath and keep trying to throwing good shots."

With another good showing Paul has an opportunity to earn a spot on the USA junior national team.
