WILKES-BARRE -- After a year of frustrating breakdowns and problems, the splash pad is up and running at Coal Street Park in Wilkes-Barre.

City officials say it opened on Tuesday.

Newswatch 16 found kids splashing around and getting a break from the heat.

The place was closed several times last year for repairs.
