STROUDSBURG -- There was a special dinner in the park for some charity riders in Monroe County Wednesday evening.

Bicyclists from around the country are on a 4,000 mile bike ride, stopping in more than a half dozen cities to help local habitat organizations.

Habitat for Humanity builds homes for those in need.

The bikers got a free dinner in Albertson Park sponsored by Habitat for Humanity.

"We all just want to help the community around the country. I have a devotion to help the poor and I believe the best way to help the poor is to get them homes first," said Stephen Rooney, one of the bikers.

Those cyclists plan to ride all the way to California by the end of the summer.
