WILKES-BARRE-- Officers thwarted an attempted armed robbery at a mini mart in Luzerne County.
Police observed Louis Santana, 21, of Wilkes-Barre, wearing a hooded sweatshirt Monday morning inside the Turkey Hill on Carey Avenue and Division Street.
When officers approached Santana from behind, he was at the counter holding a gun. He was ordered to the ground and taken into custody.
Santana was taken to the Luzerne County prison and faces robbery and other charges.
