UPDATE MONDAY: Crews repaired the hole in the road Monday.
SCRANTON — A leak in a water main eroded the ground and caused a sinkhole in Scranton.
Officials said a man was was driving over the intersection of Davis and McCarthy Streets when the road gave away.
According to authorities, the two-and-a-half foot sinkhole is just affecting the intersection and there are no plans to shut down Davis Street.
