CLINTON TOWNSHIP — It was opening day for a new community playground in Wyoming County, just in time for kids getting out of school in the Lackawanna Trail School District.
Around 100 volunteers in the Factoryville area pitched in to help build the playground in Clinton Township.
There wasn’t a public playground in this area, besides at the school.
Kids are thrilled to have it.
“I think it’s amazing. My dad worked on it so hard, so thanks to him!”
“It just means a whole lot of kids can come here, have fun and enjoy summer!”
Organizers of the community playground got grant money to help pay for the new facility.
