On Wednesday afternoon on the field at the Susquehanna Bank Park at Historic Bowman Field the 2014 short season "A" Williamsport Crosscutters professional baseball team held their first media session to kick off the summer.

Williamsport is managed by Shawn Williams-the son of former Toronto, Boston, and Houston manager Jimy Williams. This is Shawn's first professional managerial experience.

2014 (5th) round pick Rhys Hoskins is in camp. He will play 1B. He played his college baseball at Sacramento State.  In his senior season Hoskins hit .319 over 59 games with 12 home runs.

Mitch Gueller returns to Williamsport for another season with the Crosscutters pitching staff. Gueller lost 20lbs in the off-season and worked on his mechanics and some new pitches.

The 2014 season kicks off on Friday night June 13th with a live telecast of the State College Spikes and the Crosscutters on WNEP2 at 7pm.
