Man Accused Of Brutal Assault, Rape Enters Guilty Plea

WILKES-BARRE — A guilty plea was entered by a man accused of a violent rape and assault in Luzerne County.

Emmanuel Paulino of West Hazleton pleaded guilty on Monday to assault, but the more serious charge of rape was withdrawn as part of a plea agreement.

The attack happened in November at an apartment near Hazleton.

Paulino told investigators he was high on drugs when the assault happened.

He is scheduled to be sentenced in August.

This is total BS, this judge should be removed from the bench for allowing this POS to plea bargain. He brutally raped that women by sodomizing her with his fist and now he’ll serve a few years in prison instead of the 25 he deserves.. Just because he was high on drugs does not justify his actions; I wonder what his victim thinks about all of this. I hope he gets to feel his victims pain over and over again in prison with his cellmate Bubba.

It’s a bit disturbing to hear that the rape charge is being dropped as part of the plea. The victim experienced a violent sexual assault, and the rape is essentially going unpunished. I understand that pleading guilty tends to lessen the consequences, but in this case, the terms of the bargain make me feel as though they are tarnishing justice and belittling the victim.

If he was undocumented and no records check than the LANDLORD SHOULD BE CHARGED WITH ASSAULT AND VIOLENT RAPE PLUS OTHER CHARGES, LANDLORDS ARE USUALLY THE ONES THAT BRING PEOPLE LIKE THIS INTO NEIGHBORHOODS !!!!

Since drugs were involved, will the apt. bldg. be condemned and shut down for 6 months under the new “punish the landlords” laws?
