BARRETT TOWNSHIP -- The list of summertime adventures continues to grow in the Poconos

Skytop Lodge's adventure center is now offering two new activities this summer that you won't find anywhere else.

It's three different sports, all wrapped up in one and it's a hit for summertime time fun at Skytop Lodge's adventure center in the Poconos.

It's archery tag, a combination of dodgeball, paintball, and archery and the resort near Canadensis is the only place in the Poconos where you can play.

"People are really, really enjoying it. It's something completely new, it's up and coming. We are definitely going to see it take over the nation pretty soon," said Christopher Sherry at Skytop Lodge.

The rules are fairly simple.

"If you get hit in the head, does not count. If you get hit in the bow, does not count."

The good news is this new sport is pretty harmless, too.

"Very easy, the bows, they don't have a very strong pull, so the arrows don't hurt at all. It's very safe for young children."

If you're looking for some high-speed fun, they have that at the adventure center, too. You can jump in a new UTV, start it up, and tackle the trails.

These RZR 40 UTV's are perfect for trails, something Skytop's guests are already enjoying and say you get the hang of rather quickly.

"I didn't think I was going to be able to drive it, but then I thought 'let me give it a try,' and while I was driving he said, 'you're doing really good.' I'm like 'yeah!'" said Skytop guest Gina Delrusso.

The UTVs are set to only go about 20 miles an hour at the most on the trails.

Guest Matt Walsh said once he got a feel for how to drive, the fun really started.

"Then you could start tearing it up in the mud. Today was a perfect day. Rain or shine, it's fun."

Both the UTV's and the archery tag are the first new adventures at the center since the treetop zipline and challenge course was added.
