Police: Man Stole Car and Robbed Bank

NEW CASTLE TOWNSHIP — Police released a security photo of a man they believe went on a crime spree Thursday afternoon in Schuylkill County.

Investigators said the man stole a car from Turkey Hill in Frackville. They said he then walked into the Penn National Bank inside the Schuylkill Mall with a handkerchief covering his face and demanded money. The teller gave him some money and he took off.

Police said the man then attempted to rob the Wells Fargo Bank on Altamont Boulevard in West Mahanoy Township but could not get inside.

Officers said they found the car in Frackville, but are still looking for the robber.

    For a county of a small population of maybe 140 k.. Schuylkill county sure makes the news in a negative way a lot doesn’t it. Large Fires, Murders, Serious Car Accidents, Robberies, Crazy government officials, Embezzlement etc.
