LEWISBURG -- A graduation decades in the making took place Wednesday evening in Union County.

Marian Royer Roush earned her diploma from Lewisburg Area High School after nearly 55 years.

Roush was hit by a car and critically injured just days before she was set to graduate back in 1960.

She said Wednesday night's ceremony was a dream come true.

Roush said she has no real plans post-graduation aside from spending time with her family in Union County.
